The Brilliance Cosmocare Story
Skincare that actually works.
Brilliance began in Mumbai in 2015 as Brilliance Skin and Hair clinic in Lokhandwala, with a doctor who kept seeing the same patient walk in.
Not literally the same patient. But the same story, over and over, in different faces.
She had been somewhere else first. She had been sold a course of twelve sessions on the afternoon she first walked in, before anyone had examined her properly. She had spent months and a great deal of money. She had a folder of receipts and no clinical notes, because nobody had written any. And she was not better. Frequently she was worse, and the thing that had made her worse was the treatment itself.
That was the beginning of Brilliance.
Not a belief. A pattern.

Dr. Ashok Patel
MBBS · MS General Surgery · Fellowship in Medical Cosmetology
The doctor who started it is a surgeon
Dr. Ashok Patel completed his MBBS, followed by an MS in General Surgery and a Fellowship in Medical Cosmetology. He is not a dermatologist and does not claim to be one. He is a surgeon practising aesthetic medicine.
That background matters. Surgical training builds a deep understanding of anatomy, tissue planes, blood vessels, nerves and complications. In aesthetics, that changes how treatments are planned — filler placement, laser settings and patient selection require more than technical skill. They require precision, caution and the ability to recognise when not to proceed.
That surgical mindset has shaped Brilliance Cosmocare from the beginning.
The real gap was never ingredients or technology. It was the order of decisions.
Too often, the device or product comes first, and the diagnosis is shaped around what needs to be sold. We believed it should work the other way around: understand the patient, make the diagnosis, and then decide whether a treatment or product is needed at all.
Not marketing versus science.
Selling versus diagnosing.

No treatment before diagnosis, and no diagnosis by someone unqualified to make it.
Sometimes that means saying no to a treatment a patient has already researched, budgeted for and been offered elsewhere. It can make us slower, less convenient, and cost us business. We accept that trade.
We would rather lose a treatment than recommend the wrong one.
Two things, in the order they actually happened
Came first, and it is still the whole engine. Doctor-led skin, hair and aesthetic treatment, built around examination and diagnosis rather than around a device that needs filling.
Came out of the clinic, not alongside it — incorporated once there were enough years of watching what people actually put on their faces between appointments. Skincare, haircare and nutraceuticals formulated around what patients were already failing to find.
The order is the point. The products exist because of the clinic — not the other way round.
Medically guided. Personalised. Real, visible results.
Every treatment begins with a detailed consultation and accurate diagnosis, because effective skincare is not about following trends — it is about understanding your skin and hair scientifically. Each plan is customised to individual concerns, addressing the root cause rather than temporary symptoms.
We prioritise outcomes that look natural, balanced and long-lasting, so improvement feels authentic — not artificial — delivered in a safe, hygienic, patient-focused environment.
Our commitment is clear: to raise the standard of aesthetic care by offering skincare that actually works, delivered with precision, honesty and attention to detail.

Dr. Ashok Patel
He did not enter aesthetics through a marketing brochure — he entered it through medicine. After his MS and Fellowship, he spent years observing a troubling pattern: patients in Mumbai receiving cosmetic treatments designed for Western skin, delivered by technicians rather than physicians, with results that rarely matched the promises.

Satyapal Chandra
Satyapal brings what most clinics never have: product thinking. He applies the discipline he used to scale MagTapp to 10 million users — transparent processes, technology-driven patient experience, and honest data about what Indian skin actually needs. Dr. Patel owns the medicine; Satyapal owns the systems that make it accessible, consistent and honest.
